A guest on LandTrust has 48 hours from the time the Landowner accepts their booking request to cancel their booking and receive a full refund. After 48 hours from the moment the Landowner accepts a booking, there is no refund available to the guest. This is applicable to all bookings on LandTrust unless the booking is accepted with 48 hours from the start of the booking itself in which case there is no refund available due to it being a late booking.
The LandTrust community is powered by our Landowners who list their land for our guests to book trips on. Without them, LandTrust would cease to exist. Because of this, our cancellation policy is very biased towards our Landowners.
Many Landowners have told us that prior to becoming a LandTrust Landowner, one of their biggest issues was getting paid by guests who had arranged to come on their property. Stories of last-minute cancellations with no way to re-book those dates or even not getting paid after a guest had visited their property were told to us. Our strict cancellation policy is a major reason why so many Landowners choose to list their properties on LandTrust offering our recreator community so many great opportunities!
Extenuating Circumstances: Some of our landowner hosts offer access in locations that require guests to draw a permit to allow them to do their desired activity . With that in mind, some of our landowners have agreed to allow guests to book a trip in advance, then refund the guest for their trip if they do not successfully draw a permit. This is not offered for all bookings and must be clarified with a LandTrust representative prior to booking. The guest must provide an image of their draw results to the LandTrust team within 7 days of receiving them in order to be issued a refund.
